Le Lion et let Rat, 1924
Le Lièvre et la Tortue, 1940
"Le Lièvre et la Tortue": Patt's particular contribution to this scene seems to be the presence of a boy and a girl, both apparently surprised by the results. "Imprimé en France." Never used. Again, this card is smaller than the others.
Le Lièvre et la Tortue, Les Fables de la Fontaine, 1988
Perhaps the most memorable feature of the picture here is that the tortoise is sweating!
Le Loup et la Cigogne, 1924
Le Loup Et La Cigogne Feve, 1980
The two different manufacturers can be seen from the different lettering used on two different sets, one of them all in caps. For a "wrap-around" view of any of these from 360 degrees, click on the image. The exception is the last member, a wolf donated along with other sets later on.
Le Loup et l'agneau, 1980
Like the other plates, this presentation presumes that a viewer knows the standard story. Then the plate can present a surprise. The surprise here is that the lamb is waiting for the wolf with a big club behind his wolly little back.
Le Loup et L'Agneau, 1965
The wolf in WL wears a top hat, vest, and trousers. He carries a hunter's pouch and points menacingly at the lamb, who is dressed in children's clothes. Does the lamb have a toy sailboat in is hands/paws?

Le Rat De Ville Et Le Rat Des Champs Feve, 1980

Le Rat de Ville et le Rat des Champs Puzzle, 1952
Here is a different approach to fable puzzles. Each fable image has a frame with room inside for 23 hexagonal pieces, each numbered on its verso. All except TMCM have a matching image that can help to solve the puzzle. I am surprised by the good condition of these puzzles. The pieces still fit! FS has a surprising but consistent misalignment. Other puzzles are FS, CP, and "The Monkey and the Cat."
Le Renard et la cigogne, 1980
The joke here is that the fox has a straw ready to work on the vases in which the stork is preparing to serve the meal. This fox has read his fables! Do not miss Mademoiselle Stork's high-heeled shoes. She is, after all, a female in the French language.

Le Renard et le Bouc French Kitchen Towel, 1990
Red, yellow, and white french kitchen towel depicting a goat angrily speaking to a fox who is above him on a wall. To his right is a paper with French writing on i.
Le Renard et le Buste Plate, 1910
Le Renard et le Corbeau, 1930
This illustration uses Grandville for the basic form of the raven but the rest of the scene is differently conceived. The briskly walking fox wears a cape and carries a hat.
"Le Renard et les Raisins" Sarreguemines brown plate, 1930
This is a rather unusual presentation of FG, since the fox is put into the mdist of a crowd. His gestures show dismissiveness. He wears a vest and a cap. Are those dogs and chickens that move away from him, perhaps suspecting his dishonesty?
Le Sang Des Dalton, Paperback, 2009
A paperback French translation of "Desperadoes" written by Ron Hansen. The French translation was published by Buchet/Chastel in 2009.
Le Singe du Buffon, 1890
This full-color portrait-formatted card has an image framed with a blue line, with four gold-and-blue corners like old photo-holders from albums. It is marked "1", and has its title on the picture side. The verso is given completely to advertising Besnier's chocolate. The boldest boast is "1re Marque Française."
